Beautiful rugby from Skins in high scoring home victory

Enniskillen U18 Girls 79
Virginia U18 Girls 17
Enniskillen U-18’s set out their stall early against a visiting Virginia side with 3 tries from 3 strong breakaways by India Daley in the first 10 mins with all tries being converted by Cora Balfour.
This was shortly followed up by another clean break by India supported on the shoulder by Moya Hill to feed Catherine Graham for a certain well worked try in the corner only for her opposition player holding her back by pulling her hair in desperation to stop they try. A penalty try was rightly awarded.
Quick thinking from Lauren Kilfedder shortly after the restart saw her scoring under the posts from a tap penalty 15 yards out.
Sophie Barrett scored with an individual breakaway after the restart and Sophie Meeke was soon to follow suit with some good work from Moya allowing Sophie Meeke to score under the posts.
A consolation try from Virginia brought the first half to a close at 45-5
Katie Elliott resumed Enniskillen service after the restart for the second half with a strong determine run to score under the posts. Cora continued her success with the boot, converting nicely.
In the middle of the second half Virginia started to come back at Enniskillen with some well worked scores of their own to bring the scores to 57-17.
Enniskillen responded to Virginia’s resurgence with a strong finish to the game with India, Sarah, Sophie B, Lauren and Katie all crossing the whitewash to bring the final score to 79-17 with a fantastic team performance.
A good start to the season and a huge congratulations to Virginia who never stopped battling throughout the whole game.
