Enniskillen hosted Donegal Town on Saturday afternoon on what was a perfect day for rugby. The home side started slowly with lots of ring rust apparent with several players making their first start of the season.

Neither team were getting a decent foothold in the game but slowly skins started to find their feet. After a dominant Enniskillen scrum 20 metres from the Donegal line, Wilkinson took  a crash ball off a rehearsed move to open the scoring converted by McVitty. 5 minutes later after lots of hard running from the Enniskillen pack McVitty got the touch down from short range, then converted it himself to increase the home sides advantage to 14-0 going into the break.

The second half was quite a stop start affair with the home side struggling to find cohesion and decent patterns of possession. However they still managed to score 4 more tries from Phillips, Baker, Cadden and Wilkinson added his second none of which were converted. Donegal got a consolation score to reward their courage through the game.

Next up for the 3’s is an away trip to Rainey Old Boys on the 20th which will be their biggest test to date.
